Overview

Wiring Devices & Industrial Plugs

Garg Electricals supplies wiring devices and industrial plugs for production areas and the offices, canteens and utilities around them.

On the shop floor, IEC 60309 industrial plugs and sockets in IP44 and IP67 versions give safe, keyed power points for machines, welding sets and portable equipment. We also supply weatherproof enclosures and PVC and metal conduits with fittings.

For offices and support buildings we carry modular switches and sockets from Legrand, Anchor (Panasonic) and Havells. Combine them with our house wires and distribution boards for a complete wiring package.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What do IP44 and IP67 mean on an industrial socket?

IP44 protects against solid objects over 1 mm and splashing water, which suits most indoor shop floors. IP67 is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion, for outdoor, wash-down and harsh areas.

Why use industrial (IEC 60309) plugs instead of ordinary sockets?

Industrial plugs are colour-coded by voltage, keyed so the wrong voltage cannot be connected, rated for higher currents and more robust for frequent plugging of tools and equipment.

Can you supply complete wiring material for an office block?

Yes. Along with switches and sockets we supply wires, conduits, distribution boards and lighting, so the whole package can come from one invoice.
